Learn how to SAVE on a low income!

Feel stuck like you are working but not achieving anything?

Let me tell you that there is always a way to save!

I am going to share some ideas that you can use to help you save more money every month and a few ways to increase your current income!

Saving money when you are earning a high income is somewhat of an easy task Why? because you already have the money, but for most people out there this is not the case living from paycheck to paycheck is a commonalty amongst many individuals in our society today.

Many people have often asked me over the years how can they increase their current income because they want to save but they just can't afford to. In this post I am going to share a few things you can start doing today to save on a low income.

Here are a few ideas that can help you save on a low income:

1.Minimize your monthly expenses:

Negotiating your rental with the landlord and car pooling to work are some simple ways to reduce your monthly costs.

Creating a simple budget and meal planning is a great way to save money in the kitchen. Even though you earn a low income it doesn't mean you don't need a budget.

2. Don't get into any type of debt:

Try your best not to get into any new debt until you pay off the ones you currently have. Staying clear of debt will free up some money once you are fully paid up.

If you need to go into debt to buy something new then its most likely you cant afford it in the first place.

3. Reduce any activities that you can't afford:

Any activities that you have to pay for is not for you like gym memberships, swimming, gambling and buying alcoholic beverages.

Participating in this while you are struggling to make ends meet is not helping you at all. Stay clear of these for a while until you actually can afford them.

4. Avoid social influencers:

People tend to drag you in the same direction they are going be strong and say no. If you don't want to go or participate then don't, its ok.

Don't be influenced by society about what's hot and what's not stay strong. If they really are your true friends they will understand what you are trying to accomplish and support you.

If they don't then its their problem don't feel bad about improving the quality of your life.

5. Commit to buying necessities only:

Commit to yourself about how much you are prepared to spend and stick to it.

Most people lack self control and this is where the problem starts. Having self discipline will help you when it comes to many areas in your life including spending money.

6. Do more free out door activities:

Going to the park or going for a walk/run are free ways to reduce stress, getting out of the house will allow you to have a different perspective on life.

The best things in life are free I am sure you have heard that before its true. Enjoy it! make memories and enjoy spending time with your family. Spending time with your loved ones doesn't have to break the bank.

Here are some ideas to help increase your current income today:

  • Sell all your unwanted items and declutter. Most of the items we have we hardly use. It just lays there collecting dust and taking up space. In todays society people have way more things than they actually need.

  • Speak to your friends and family and ask them for any handy jobs that you can do on the weekends to make extra money, more often than not they will call you because they are already familiar with you instead of calling a total stranger they can trust you.

  • Get a second job if you have to, Increasing your income is the main goal, how you go about it doesn't matter.

In  conclusion

Although saving money on a low income might seem impossible, it is doable if you follow these steps, by increasing your income you will have a nice amount left over after paying your expenses that you could use to put towards savings or paying of debt.

I hope this post was helpful and gave you some insight on what you could do to change your situation.

We have to take responsibility for our actions this is how we succeed.
