Frugal Tips for weight loss
So you want to loose weight but you are struck for cash?
Tired of trying expensive diets and pills that cost way too much and never seem to work!
I am here to give you 7 simple frugal weight loss tips that I used to loose weight , now there are no magic pills here for this every thing in life is hard work.
Loosing weight and keeping it off is hard work you need to be consistent and focused. I know these tips work because I have done them myself. I have had success and lost 8 kg's in 100 days by doing this. I was 74 kg's in March and by the beginning of June I dropped down to 65 kg's.
100 days, You might think that is too long. Slow and steady is the only way to go if you plan to keep it off. Fast diets don't work in the long term.
I know what you are thinking, You don't want to follow any of these fast extreme weight loss diets only to put the weight back on, Neither did I.
Here are 7 frugal weight loss tips that I used to loose weight and stay healthy. I just wanted to be healthy and have loads of energy loosing weight was the cherry on top.
1. Drinking lemon water on an empty stomach every morning ,this has so many benefits from improving your digestion and keeping you regular to giving you glowing skin. It also helps with reducing acne. Many people don't like the taste of lemon early morning but I find it so refreshing.
2. Reducing the amount of refined carbs you eat like bread or white rice, these get converted in to sugar and is stored as fat in your body. If you are trying to loose weight keep this to the bare minimum. I know many people love these items but look for other healthy alternatives like sweet potatoes, pumpkin, cauliflower rice etc. By cutting these items out you will more likely be able to loose weight.
3. Increase your vegetable intake and reduce your red meat. This will help your wallet as well. Try to eat more vegetables with each meal. I meal prep and keep them ready for me in the fridge every time I feel for a snack I know its there. Have a variety of veg so you don't get bored and season with salt and pepper only don't add any high calorie dressings, oil or butter.
4. Eliminate processed foods from your diet, eat whole foods that are fresh and unprocessed. All processed foods are high in sugar and salt content. This is not good for your body as it causes water retention and bloating. If you have a sweet tooth eat more fruits topped with honey, this always satisfies my sweet cravings.
5. Eat more lean meat like fish and chicken , this is healthy for you and you don't have to feel guilty eating it. Also its way cheaper than red meat so it will make your wallet happy. I really love my food and by being able to eat healthy and clean, I don't feel restricted in any way.
6. Load up on water its the only beverage you need to drink plus its super cheap. Soda beverages are loaded with sugar and preservatives which is not good for your stomach. Drink at least 2 to 3 liters per a day. I started small and slowly worked my way up it can be overwhelming.
7. Walk, move your body its as simple as that by walking you are increasing your heart rate and burning that calories. Walking is free and has amazing benefits for your body. Walking daily will increase your overall health and have you feeling energetic in no time.
I hope these tips help you like how it helped me! Eating clean and keeping it simple is what made it so easy to follow.
